Overview
As a fund administrator, you will support hedge fund and private equity clients with fund operations, financial reporting, and investor communications under the guidance of an experienced team. You will oversee client deliverables, review complex fund calculations and financials, manage audits, train junior staff, and drive process improvements across multiple engagements.
What you’ll do
- Support client leads across multiple private equity funds, ensuring deliverables align with limited partnership agreements and client expectations.
- Apply knowledge of partnership terms to financial reporting, income/expense allocations, and complex fund calculations such as carried interest and waterfall models.
- Prepare and review journal entries, capital account statements, investor notices, and manage capital calls and distributions.
- Oversee financial statement reviews, coordinate with auditors and tax teams during year-end, and respond to client and ad hoc requests.
- Lead process improvements, manage competing deadlines, and train and develop junior team members.
- Deliver high-quality client service in collaborative environments with receptive feedback.
- Bring three plus years of progressive experience in private equity, public accounting, or related roles, supported by a degree in Accounting.
- Demonstrate strong technical and analytical skills in fund accounting and administration, with proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, Outlook, Word, and Investran.
- Consistently deliver accurate, high-volume work while managing deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.
- Lead and mentor junior team members and be flexible to work overtime when needed to meet deadlines.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of progressive experience in private equity, fund accounting, or related roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Strong technical skills in fund accounting and administration; advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, Outlook, Word, and Investran.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills; ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines.
