Job summary

A leading technology solutions provider in Belfast is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to design and implement secure, cloud-based software solutions. You will collaborate closely with technology teams, implementing DevSecOps practices, and providing expertise in application and cloud security. Candidates should have experience in application security, a deep understanding of web security, and be able to convey security concerns effectively. Qualifications

• Experience of implementing application security or Cloud platform security.
• AI Security Engineer experience.
• A detailed understanding of web application security.
• An understanding of modern cryptography and its application for encryption in-transit, encryption at-rest, hashing and digital signatures.
• An understanding of security practices such as threat modelling, vulnerability management, application security testing, and penetration testing.
• Experience of integrating application security tools into the SSDLC.
• Experience of using modern version control systems and either a scripting language or programming language to automate tasks.
• The ability to convey security issues to technical and non-technical people.

Responsibilities

• Daily collaboration with application development and cloud platform teams.
• Recommending security best practices for cloud platforms.
• Implementation of automated security tooling in CI pipelines.
• Working with external organisations for penetration tests.
• Reviewing outputs from security tools and practices.
• Verifying implementation of security principles.
• Driving adoption of cyber security practices within Agile teams.
• Coaching and developing junior members of the team.
