Job description

Due to growth and promotion, a global leading manufacturer has a new vacancy for a Senior Accountant to join the team. Offering excellent career opportunities, you will support the Finance Controller in the preparation and submission of accounts and candidates will have experience working in a fast paced environment.

The Role

• Assist in the preparation and submission of monthly accounts, including monthly reviews,
• various journal entries and corrections.
• Responsible for reconciling balance sheet accounts, ensuring that back up documentation is complete.
• Assist in the preparation & submission of accurate and timely VAT returns.
• Facilitate and promote financial awareness throughout the Company.
• Continually strive to improve and simplify procedures and systems
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
• Work closely with Finance Manager & Director the senior management team on process development.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

The Person

• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
• Newly qualified or experienced working in a fast-paced environment or practise.
• SOX experience beneficial but not essential.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
