SEN Teaching Assistant – Nurture-Focused Setting (Peterlee)

Location: Peterlee

Pay: £90–£110 per day

Contract: Full-Time

Are you passionate about helping children feel safe, supported and understood? This full-time SEN Teaching Assistant role is based in a calm, child‑centred setting where emotional wellbeing is prioritised alongside learning.

You’ll support pupils who benefit from routine, reassurance and positive relationships, helping them access the curriculum at their own pace.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils with SEN in the classroom
  • Helping children manage emotions and behaviour
  • Providing encouragement and structure
  • Working closely with teaching staff
  • Supporting social development and confidence

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
