Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Dudley

Salary: £85 - £106 per day

Contract: Full time / Part time

Smart Education is recruiting a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support primary-aged pupils with moderate and complex learning needs, including speech, language and communication difficulties. The school is a caring and inclusive community where pupils bring a wonderful diversity of abilities, interests, and personalities—creating a vibrant and unique learning environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support
  • Assist pupils with communication, social, and learning needs
  • Support teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery
  • Promote independence, positive behaviour, and engagement
  • Help create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
Requirements
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN (MLD, communication needs, or similar)
  • Level 2 TA qualification (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • Patient, caring, and adaptable approach
  • Ability to work well as part of a supportive team
  • Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
