Security Vetting Officer (SC) - Contract - Hertfordshire - £150.00 per day

Synergize Consulting are now hiring for a Security Vetting Officer to work at a leading consultancy client, on a contract basis.

The successful candidate will be working within a dynamic and secure operations team, taking responsibility for managing and processing applications for security clearance, for those who require access to secure contracts.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage, process and progress security vetting applications, ensuring to chase for updates proactively so as to avoid any potential delays
  • Monitor and manage pending and existing Security clearances through the relevant portals
  • Conduct background checks and validate applicant information
  • Compile and present management information via Excel
  • Contribute to team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives

Experience required:

  • A background in administrative and compliance focused roles, with knowledge of security vetting processes being highly desirable
  • Excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail and accuracy
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to present information to stakeholders and engage with multiple teams
  • Due to the nature of the client, it would be an advantage to hold, or be eligible and willing to undergo, a certain level of security clearance (SC)
