If so, this Cover Supervisor opportunity in a ‘good’ OFSTED rated secondary school in Bristol could be the perfect way to gain classroom experience, develop your confidence, and see if teaching is the right path for you!

  • Start ASAP
  • £140 - £160 per day, depending on experience
  • Monday - Friday 8.30am to 3.45pm
  • Term time only
  • Mainstream secondary school
  • Bristol – BS4
  • A teaching qualification is not required for this role!
About the role
  • Supervise classes / groups of pupils during break periods
  • Ensure pupils remain on task with cover work set by absent teacher, to ensure continuity of learning.
  • Managing a classroom, ensuring high standards of behaviour in line with the school’s policy
  • Support school events
  • Opportunities for training and development internally and externally
A Secondary Cover Supervisor will
  • Have extensive prior experience within an education establishment as a learning support assistant, teaching assistant, unqualified teacher etc
  • Possess good behaviour management skills and remain calm under pressure.
  • Be confident with ICT skills, particularly Microsoft packages
