Job summary

A recruitment agency seeks a Scientific Product Specialist for Sales Support in Cambridge. This full-time, permanent position involves supporting field sales teams and developing customer relationships. Responsibilities
  • Work with the field sales team to provide application, product knowledge and sales support during customer visits.
  • Understand and articulate the value proposition of the product range to drive sales and business value.
  • Identify, research, and gain application knowledge for new opportunities within the product range.
  • Promote the product range by creating marketing and training material and identifying trade shows for exposure.
  • Develop strong working relationships with internal and external customers, consulting with them to solve problems from a technical perspective.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets.
Skills and Experience / Qualifications
  • Desirable: A degree within a Science or Engineering discipline
  • Required: HND or equivalent or relevant experience
  • Proven track record of selling, specifying, or developing the product range of chillers, heat exchangers, sensors, media-separated valves, clean wet pumps and process gas controls.
  • Experience, skills and knowledge of the types of applications found in the non-invasive life science / medical / electronics industry, as these are the types of market areas you will be working in.
  • Demonstrate an ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels of the business.
  • Highly driven and passionate about making a difference within the industry.
  • Proven track record of using value propositions to ensure customer satisfaction, increasing retention and customer loyalty to a brand.
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Current passport as European travel may be required.
