Technical Network has been retained by an international machinery manufacturer seeking a Business Development Manager to expand their client base across the UK. Engineering Sales Manager

Salary: c£65-70,000 + company car + commission + benefits

Location: Home-based - UK territory

Duties:
  1. Drive sales and revenue growth for the company's precision machinery by working with existing client accounts and proactively developing new customers.
  2. Identify end-user manufacturing customers and promote value streams including innovative material joining technology solutions, new machines (CapEx), and subcontract manufacturing services.
  3. Maintain client relationships through meetings, trade shows, exhibitions, and R&D initiatives across targeted industrial sectors such as automotive, EV, marine, aerospace, defence, space, nuclear, energy, and others within educational, research, and industry sectors.
  4. Translate customer technical requirements into engineering solutions.
  5. Generate quotations and technical proposals that meet client requirements.
  6. Meet and exceed sales and revenue targets with support from the internal sales team and technical product specialists.
Requirements:
  • Proven sales success in high-value, technology-led products or services within the advanced manufacturing sector.
  • Experience in managing projects or technical innovations related to solid-phase joining production processes.
  • Strong commercial skills related to project costs, contracts, margins, and pricing.
  • HNC/Degree in engineering or scientific discipline.
  • Positive attitude, driven, and willing to take ownership of the territory to grow market share.
