Sales Channel Account Manager – Location: Wantage, Oxfordshire (Hybrid); Department: Sales; Employment Type: Full Time; Compensation: Up to £32,000 basic with £10,800 commission / Uncapped; 2 days from Home.
Our Client is a growing technology company based in Oxfordshire. We are a value-added distributor acting as a supply chain partner to many vendors and brands, supplying enterprise-level Wi-Fi, Point-to-Point and security technologies to a high-demand market. The company is privately owned and award-winning, with continual rapid growth since 2005. Headquarters are in the Oxfordshire countryside.
We are looking for a reseller channel account manager who will be targeted on new account acquisition and growth, as well as managing an existing customer account base.
Responsibilities
- Forecast reporting and pipeline management
- Assisting Sales Support with Quotes and Orders
- Supporting the Team in the management of existing leads/prospects and accounts
- New business generation – cold & warm calling
- Following up on marketing activities
- Maintenance of CRM
- The ability to upsell and grow accounts
- Follow industry developments and market trends
- Maintain a high level of knowledge of vendor technologies
- Execute the Company's sales strategies and achieve established sales quota by identifying business opportunities through account prospecting and profiling
- Assess customer needs and present appropriate sales solutions to help customers recognise technological and business needs for new products and advantages
- Provide effective sales presentations/product demonstrations to prospective customer management; host Company site visits if necessary; work with new channel partners
- Communicate at every level within the organisation and externally
- Produce high-quality written and verbal presentations
- Prepare sales order paperwork to ensure accurate configuration/solution for the customer
- Manage the order process through internal procedures to secure sign-off by Sales, Ordering and outsourced installation departments
- Provide accurate and timely reporting of activities including weekly/monthly sales forecasts, pipeline status and prospecting results
- Account map into other company accounts to understand structures and align with decision makers
- Provide routine updates to the sales database with account activity and status
- Cross-sell products into resellers/new accounts to increase overall revenue spend
- Maintain ongoing knowledge of new company products, technology and industry trends
- Provide ad hoc reports and perform assigned projects as needed
- Monitor sector conditions and inform the Director of Sales and Marketing of factors affecting operations
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven track record of B2B channel account management and business development of a minimum of 3 years in ICT sales; preferably in product distribution, though reseller/systems integrator backgrounds will be considered
- Strong business acumen; financially astute with ability to understand margins and profitability
- Experience using NetSuite
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Willingness to work in a semi-rural environment
- Ability to converse with customers and colleagues from Director to Junior level
- Flexible on working hours and willingness to work longer hours as required
- Ability to travel when necessary
- Ability to run standard reports as required
