Job description
Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join us as the Service Manager for residential childrens homes and supported accommodation. All our childrens homes are currently rated as ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and management support to 5 childrens homes within the locality, supporting the registered managers with supervision, budget management and staff recruitment.
  • Provide operational management support to a commissioned service responsible for the provision of direct care to young people in supported accommodation across 2 additional sites. These young people are aged between 16 and 17 years old.
  • Support the planned expansion of residential childrens services in meeting the needs of children within the Cheshire West and Chester locality, working closely with the Head of Service and associated support staff in the delivery of future planned childrens homes.
  • Act as the Responsible Individual (RI) for the childrens homes, supporting managers in meeting statutory compliance around registration criteria, safeguarding and standards of care within the homes.
  • Liaise with the regulator, Ofsted, in supporting our homes to become rated as ‘Outstanding’ and to offer the best possible care to children.
