The Healthcare Analytics Department has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to work as a Reporting Analyst within its Analysis and Reporting function team, specialising in cancer reporting whilst also supporting a broad range of other reporting areas.

The Healthcare Analytics department is pivotal to ensuring the data and analytics needs of the organisation are met and in supporting the organisation to make data driven, evidence based, decisions.

You will have a range of responsibilities including regular reporting, adhoc analysis and insight, and new report development using Power BI.

Mid and South Essex along with its partners across the Integrated Care System in Mental and Community Health are embarking on an ambitious and exciting 'first of type' EPR deployment which will see a single Unified Electronic Patient Record system (EPR) implemented across all care settings. This is an exciting time to join the organisation and be part of this transformational programme.

This role is fully remote and therefore the successful candidate will require a suitable home working environment.

The Healthcare Analytics department is part of the Planning and Performance Directorate and is comprised of the following functions: Analysis and Reporting, Data Warehousing and Commissioning Information.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high quality analytical support across a wide range of areas with subject matter expertise in cancer.
  • Submit statutory returns, produce regular reports and complete ad hoc data requests and analysis.
  • Develop new reports and insights using Power BI.
  • Provide accurate, complete and timely outputs.
Qualifications
  • Experience working in an NHS analytics and/or reporting environment.
  • Experience extracting, processing and analysing data from different source systems.

The Analysis and Reporting team is welcoming, experienced and supportive. There are clear and documented processes to help team members navigate the various requirements of their roles.
