Overview

Buttercross Veterinary Centre are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the team in East Bridgford and branch site Cotgrave (Nottinghamshire).

This is a maternity cover position, starting from December 2025 on a 3-9-month fixed term contract. The role is full time, working 40 hours per week over 4 days with 1 in 4 Saturdays 08:30-14:30. No on call or OOH, supporting a friendly team of 6 MRCVS registered vets, 7 RVN's, 2 SVN's and 1 Patient Care Assistant.

Role

Become a valued member of our dedicated team, where you\'ll play an essential role in delivering exceptional nursing care to a wide variety of patients. Working alongside our Vets during both surgical and medical procedures, you\'ll also provide vital support throughout each patient\'s recovery journey.

Your role will involve maintaining precise and up-to-date patient records, adhering to health and safety regulations, and contributing to the smooth operation of the practice through effective teamwork and clear client communication.

We\'re seeking a passionate, RCVS-registered veterinary nurse who is deeply committed to animal welfare. You should bring strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively, and a proactive attitude toward problem-solving and organisation.
