A leading health board in North Wales is seeking an experienced Receptionist for their GP Practice in Wrexham. The successful candidate will manage appointments and patient queries, requiring strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Welsh language proficiency is essential. Training may be provided for specific systems. This role also involves working across multiple practices as needed, promoting a dynamic and supportive work environment.
The East Primary Care Team is looking for an experienced, organised and enthusiastic Receptionist to work in our Health Board managed GP Practice (Hillcrest Medical Centre, Wrexham).
Previous experience of working within a GP Practice would be beneficial and knowledge of the EMIS clinical system is desirable, however training can be given. The demands of a GP practice can change on a daily basis and therefore this role will be challenging. The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post.
The post holder will be booking appointments and dealing with patient queries therefore excellent communication skills and a confident telephone manner is required. Proficient IT skills (including experience of Microsoft Office) is also required as the post holder will also be undertaking a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth day to day running of the practices, including some data inputting. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a healthcare setting or a customer service environment but full training can be given to the right candidate. The post holder will also be expected to work at other Health Board managed GP practices in the East area on an ad hoc basis to meet service needs and to cover staff absences. This will be discussed at interview.
