Reception Teaching Assistant

Do you want a Reception Teaching Assistant role that gives you hands-on EYFS experience before teacher training?

The Role

You’ll support Reception pupils through play-based learning, early phonics and number, routines, and personal development. You’ll prepare simple resources, guide small groups, provide 1:1 support, and keep concise notes on progress. You’ll help maintain a calm, safe, and engaging classroom.

The Candidate

You communicate clearly, bring a warm, consistent approach, and enjoy working with young children. You can follow guidance, use initiative, and build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

Requirements
  • Degree – A 2:2 or above in any subject.
  • Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
  • Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
