Job description

Overview

Permanent Opportunity. Location: Birmingham, Kitts Green. Working Hours: 39 hours per week. Starting on a day shift for the training period of 6 months, then moving on to the afternoon/evening shift. Salary: £32k - £35k, once moved over to the night shift a night shift premium will be paid at 15%.

Role

The role involves measuring spline and gear products to tight tolerances. This includes using CMM Involute testers and using Metrology equipment such as ULM, Carriage Mics slips and pins.

Essential Skills

• Engineering experience within a production environment, ideally precision inspection
• Good computer skills and accurate document control
• Previous quality inspection experience
• Attention to detail, fast learner, leadership skills and initiative
• Work as a team and have initiative to work alone

Desirable Skills

• CMM experience.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 & ISO 17025.
