Overview

leading Residential Developer and Main Contractor are looking for a Quality & Compliance Manager to join their growing operation, based out of Birmingham. You will ensure consistent quality & compliance standards are applied to ensure that business processes are compliant with the company-wide management system. You will play a key role in ensuring the business maintains its ISO 9001 and 14001 accreditations and will have a particularly good understanding of Quality management in relation to housebuilding or construction projects.

This role could suit a Site Manager with strong QA/QC experience and an understanding of the wider technical standards such as NHBC etc or an accomplished Quality Manager from a construction or housebuilding background. Reporting into the Divisional Project Manager, you will be:

Responsibilities
  • Internally and externally auditing to ensure compliance
  • Liaising with professional certification body for ISO accreditations
  • Leading continuous improvement of the standard practices and procedures through stakeholder engagement
  • Liaising with all business units to provide contractual and technical advice in respect to quality issues as and when required
  • Undertaking Quality Site inspections in accordance with Warranty Technical Standards
  • Driving the Quality Assurance and Control at project level
  • Leading the procedural development to support construction delivery
  • Develop and maintain company audit systems
Qualifications
  • Experience within a housebuilding or construction environment (ESSENTIAL)
  • A Construction qualification
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent report-writing and IT skills
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 (ESSENTIAL)
  • Working knowledge of ISO 14001 (preferable)
  • Proven internal auditing skills
