An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Public Rights of Way Officer to come and join a busy team in the Manchester area.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the Definitive Map and Statement, ensuring accurate legal records of public rights of way.
• Investigate and process Public Path Orders, Definitive Map Modification Orders, and Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders.
• Respond to enquiries from the public, landowners, user groups, and stakeholders regarding rights of way issues.
• Carry out site inspections, assess path conditions, and coordinate maintenance or enforcement actions where required.
• Work with volunteers, local communities, and partner organisations to support improvements and promote responsible access.
• Provide expert advice on planning applications affecting public rights of way.
