Overview

Psychology Graduate (full-time, temporary) – Stockport

£444 - £475 per week (salary is dependent on experience and/or qualifications). Start date: October 2025.

The School and Role

We require a Psychology Graduate with experience of working with children to work in a specialist school in Stockport supporting pupils with special educational needs, or social, emotional and mental health needs. The Psychology Graduate would work in the capacity of a Teaching Assistant, providing vital support to both teachers and pupils. You will build positive relationships with pupils, and devise strategies to overcome barriers to learning, helping them to get the most out of their education.

Responsibilities
  • Support pupils with special educational needs or social, emotional and mental health needs in a specialist school setting.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and collaborate with teachers to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Devise and implement strategies to overcome barriers to learning.
Requirements
  • Have a warm and friendly nature to be able to build positive relationships with pupils.
  • Either have completed, or be working towards a qualification in Psychology.
  • Be passionate about supporting children with barriers to learning.
