Job description
Overview

We are recruiting for a compliance specialist to lead on property compliance, including the following areas:

Fire Safety Compliance
  • Oversee and monitor fire risk assessments, ensuring timely completion and remedial action tracking.
  • Liaise with contractors and internal teams to ensure fire safety systems (alarms, extinguishers, emergency lighting) are maintained in line with statutory requirements.
  • Stay up to date with relevant legislation, including the Fire Safety Act and Building Safety Act.
Cyclical Electrics
  • Manage the periodic inspection and testing of electrical installations (EICRs), ensuring full certification and compliance.
  • Review electrical reports, prioritise actions, and work with maintenance teams to resolve issues.
LOLER Compliance
  • Coordinate inspections and servicing of lifting equipment, including stair lifts, hoists, and passenger lifts.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure defects are rectified within required time frames.
  • Work with lift service providers to ensure contracts meet LOLER requirements.

Develop and maintain robust compliance reporting systems.

Support audits, both internal and external, ensuring full transparency and accuracy of compliance data.

Provide expert advice to colleagues and stakeholders regarding safety obligations and best practices.

This is a hybrid role and offers excellent working conditions and the potential of a long-term contract.
