Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Supervisor to join our client's manufacturing facility based in the Scottish Borders. In this role, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering and maintenance projects within a fast-paced, 24/7 industrial environment. Your primary focus will be to ensure all projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to high standards, while fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, you will manage project schedules, monitor progress, liaise with stakeholders, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. You will also review contractor RAMS, manage permit systems, and solve project challenges proactively, leading by example in safety and team conduct.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, coordination, and execution of engineering and maintenance projects in a 24/7 industrial environment.
• Manage project schedules, monitor progress, and liaise with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations; review contractor RAMS and manage permit systems.
• Solve project challenges proactively and lead by example in safety and team conduct.

Qualifications

• HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent), or recognised apprenticeship.
• 3-5 years' experience in project management or maintenance supervision within an industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations, including PTW, Lock-Out/Tag-Out, RAMS, and permit systems.
• Proficiency with project management tools and CMMS software.
• Solid understanding of Mechanical or Electrical core disciplines, with awareness of other engineering areas.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
• Hands-on, proactive, and adaptable approach to engineering challenges.
