  • Define key events, interfaces, and deliverables from the project execution strategy.
  • Develop integrated programs for design, procurement, and installation of conveyors, machines, and process plants.
  • Create and maintain project schedules including resource loading and critical path analysis.
  • Establish project baseline schedules and monitor progress against plan.
  • Lead cost control, budgeting, and forecasting.

Job description

This role focuses on planning, scheduling, and cost control for major mining projects, ensuring integrated programs and accurate forecasting. You'll manage baseline schedules, monitor progress, and deliver timely reports to keep projects on track.

Description

  • Define key events, interfaces, and deliverables from the project execution strategy.
  • Develop integrated programs for design, procurement, and installation of conveyors, machines, and process plants.
  • Create and maintain project schedules (Primavera P6, MS Project), including resource loading, levelling, and critical path analysis.
  • Establish project baseline schedules and continuously monitor progress against plan; produce recovery plans for slippages.
  • Generate manpower histograms, progress S-curves, and performance reports.
  • Review and incorporate contractor deliverables and milestones into the master schedule.
  • Apply earned value principles to track performance and compile cost flow spreadsheets for client reporting.
  • Lead cost control, budgeting, and forecasting; manage tender programs and tender cost schedules.
  • Provide early warnings, manage compensation events, and report project status to the Project Manager.

Profile

A successful applicant must have:

  • Experience in planning/scheduling and cost control.
  • Knowledge of the energy & natural resources industry is highly desirable.
  • Australian market experience is desired.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.
