About The Job

Join EXCELYA as a Project Manager, where you will orchestrate the successful execution of technical upgrade projects for our clients in the biopharmaceutical sector. Your role will be key to ensuring high-performance, compliant, and client-oriented delivery of customized equipment upgrades, from order intake to client acceptance.

You will work at the crossroads of process engineering, automation, validation, and stakeholder communication, while supporting global service teams. You will thrive in a dynamic and regulated environment, managing both technical complexity and project timelines with precision.

Main Responsibilities :

  1. Lead client upgrade projects from design to delivery, ensuring cost, quality, and timing are met
  2. Develop and manage detailed project planning and execution (Gantt charts, milestones, budgets, risks)
  3. Respond to technical upgrade requests from regional service teams
  4. Provide accurate costing and scope definitions (based on URS)
  5. Conduct process studies (PID, PPL, FS), coordinate reviews and project milestones (AIC, launch, closure)
  6. Organize and animate project meetings and client communications
  7. Interface with cross-functional teams (Quality, Supply, Logistics, IT, Maintenance, Validation, etc.)
  8. Ensure documentation and compliance with GMP, GAMP 5, and 21 CFR Part 11
  9. Contribute to continuous improvement and compliance in terms of QHSE standards

Requirements

About You

We are looking for a structured, rigorous, and technically proficient project manager with a strong background in biopharmaceutical systems and cross-disciplinary project leadership.

Experience: Solid experience in equipment and process upgrade projects in the biopharmaceutical or biotechnology industry. Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects involving automation, IT, validation, and production. Familiar with GMP, GAMP5, and 21 CFR Part 11 standards.

Skills: Excellent planning and organizational skills. Strong leadership and stakeholder communication abilities. Comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously across different sites. Proficient in project methodologies such as PMI, Prince2, or Agile. Familiar with Office suite and project tracking tools.

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Biotechnology, Process Engineering, or related field.

Languages: Fluent in French and English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
