Overview

Marchants & Co Ltd is a well-established company with a proven track record in delivering data centre, commercial, residential and education projects. We are dedicated to safety, quality, innovation, sustainability and customer satisfaction. The company specialises in interior fit out (office interiors, acoustic fabric ceilings and fabric wall linings) for commercial projects, and we are seeking to recruit a Project Manager to lead projects in Central London, England. Candidates should have solid experience in project management within a similar environment; current roles at senior engineer or construction manager level will be considered. Experience of large fit out projects including ceilings and wall panelling is essential.

Responsibilities

• Managing project budgets to ensure they do not exceed the budgeted amount.
• Overseeing daily operations of construction projects from start to finish, including communicating with subcontractors and vendors about issues that may arise.
• Gathering client input and making design and material recommendations for the project.
• Hiring contractors, subcontractors, architects and engineers as needed to complete the project on time and within budget.
• Ensuring that all building codes and ordinances are followed throughout the construction process.
• Estimating costs and managing budgets for projects using software such as Excel or Access.
• Coordinating with architects and engineers on design issues and problems.
• Managing all aspects of interior fit out construction projects from start to finish, including scheduling and budgeting for materials and labour costs.
• Coordinating with clients to address concerns or issues during the project development phase.

Education & Experience

• 8+ years’ experience in the construction industry with significant experience in a project engineering / construction management / project management role.
• Experience of project management on fit out projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
• Strong track record in project completion.
• Experience dealing with design, budget and scheduling issues and delivering successful outcomes.
