The Opportunity

The Performance Sub-Systems Project Engineer will be responsible for delivery of the Data-Logging and Monitoring Sub-System (DLM) and the Image Processing and Control Processing Unit Sub-System (IPPU). The DLM is an assembly of equipment responsible for the collection and monitoring of system operational performance. The IPPU is a single piece of equipment responsible for the processing and control of imagery captured by sensors outside the IPPU sub system boundary. These sub-systems will be housed in another sub system so the understanding of assembly, integration, test, and certification boundaries would be desirable.

Reporting to a Head of Equipment as part of a wider Chief Design Engineer’s organisation; this role will be focused on the hardware delivery and physical certification aspects of these systems. An understanding of how functional software is integrated to these equipment items would be desirable.

Responsibilities
  • Delivering the DLM and IPPU sub systems for integration in other systems;
  • Acceptance of the physical definition of the hardware;
  • Delivering the technical and certification documentation;
  • Supporting the functional integration of the hardware within the wider sub system definition.

  • Develop complex electrical equipment or subsystems and ensure the emergent design is compliant to the project requirements
  • Proactively engages stakeholders and builds relationships that will further the project
