Project Engineer

Altera Recruitment is partnered with a long-established leader in engineering solutions with over 90 years of industry experience. They are now seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Project Engineer to join their collaborative and innovative workforce.

Working closely with the Lead Engineer and Project Managers, you'll play a key role in delivering engineering projects from concept through to completion. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to work alongside a highly experienced team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own project tasks and act as the main contact for technical, cost, and schedule management.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation that meets internal and customer standards.
  • Support cost estimation, bid proposals, and project-related reporting.
  • Ensure engineering activities comply with contractual, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate testing/trials and provide technical information for manuals, guides, and publications.
What We're Looking For
  • A Degree, HNC, or HND or degree educated in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills with a proactive mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Previous experience working with aircraft systems or equipment (desirable but not essential).
