About the Role

The Project Development Manager (Densification) will play a crucial role in contributing to a range of pre-contract project development activities. This includes moving potential project leads through to technically and commercially viable project bids, as well as focusing on the densification of the company’s existing heat network projects. As the Project Development Manager (Densification), you will be responsible for:

  • Interpreting a variety of information related to heat networks, including contractual, technical, legal, commercial, and regulatory aspects
  • Identifying key risks and opportunities to ensure projects are thoroughly considered and viable
  • Progressing commercial modelling updates, concept design development, and legal/contractual work-streams
  • Liaising with the wider project team and external stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of project requirements
What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate for the Project Development Manager (Densification) role will have:

  • Formal qualifications in engineering / or a related discipline to degree level or equivalent.
  • 2-5 years of prior experience in a technical heat network, utilities, or energy industry-related role
  • A strong understanding of the steps involved in energy infrastructure project development and delivery
  • Familiarity with UK engineering and construction regulations and standards, including CDM
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, as well as a willingness to learn and use bespoke project management software
  • A keen interest in low-carbon infrastructure and a commitment to contributing to the decarbonisation of the UK's energy supply
