Castle Employment Group is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and successful CNC machining and manufacturing business for an experienced and hands‑on Production Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Production Manager to lead a well‑established manufacturing site in North Yorkshire and a rare opportunity to join a thriving company, with a possible progression path to General Manager for the right candidate

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all day‑to‑day production operations within the workshop
  • Develop and manage efficient production plans and schedules
  • Lead and supervise a small workshop team, ensuring high performance
  • Monitor product quality and ensure customer specifications are met
  • Coordinate materials, labour, and equipment usage
  • Maintain accurate production records and KPI reporting
  • Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal departments
  • Support implementation and use of production software (Emax)
  • Uphold Health & Safety standards and ensure staff are properly equipped
  • Drive continuous improvement in production processes
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience as a Production Manager or in a similar role within manufacturing
  • Strong practical understanding of workshop processes and machinery
  • Effective leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent organisation, communication and problem‑solving abilities
  • Hands‑on, proactive approach to daily operations
  • Experience using production systems/software (Emax experience beneficial)

We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with a background in CNC machining, who can bring first‑hand knowledge of machining processes, tooling and programming and who understand how to interpret what they see on the shop floor.
