Production Manager – Precision Engineering

Location: Hailsham, East Sussex
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

Overview

We are recruiting for the successor of a Production Manager with one of our Precision Engineering clients. The Production Manager works with 3 cell leaders in fabrication, CNC machining and cleaning, leading a staff of approximately 35, reporting to the Operations Director. The company serves semiconductor, science and nuclear industry customers, delivering engineered solutions on quality, on time and to high efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage 3 cell leaders in fabrication, CNC machining and cleaning.
• Maintain and enhance high quality standard practices and continuous improvement processes.
• Support talent development and challenge teams to achieve delivery objectives.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Production Planning and Facility Maintenance (18 staff in total) to support the Production Manager role.

Qualifications

• Qualified engineer with at least 8 years of solid management experience, ideally in low batch, high complexity environment.
• Strong work ethic, ownership mentality, respect towards colleagues, hands‑on ability to get a job done.
