The Sunrise Product and Development Team Leader is responsible for supervising the QA, Development, and Product Analyst teams at Sunrise. The role ensures that product releases are delivered on time, to quality standards, and aligned with business priorities.

The Product and Development Team Leader will provide day-to-day guidance, manage workload allocation, and support professional growth across the team. They will champion Agile practices, drive continuous improvement in processes, and ensure effective collaboration between Technical Operations, Sales and Marketing, Professional Services, and Support teams.

Job Specification
  • Provide day-to-day support, mentoring, and guidance to QA, Development, and Product Analyst staff.
  • Ensure delivery of product releases and updates against agreed schedules and quality benchmarks.
  • Manage workload allocation, priorities, and resource planning across the team.
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development planning.
  • Oversee adherence to Agile/SDLC practices, ensuring consistent use of Jira, Confluence, and related tools.
  • Drive improvements in testing, development, and documentation processes.
  • Collaborate with Technical Operations, Sales and Marketing, Professional Services, and Support to align delivery with customer needs.
  • Provide clear reporting on team performance, risks, and delivery progress to the CEO.
  • Contribute to hands-on technical or testing activities where needed to support delivery.
Required Skills and Abilities
  • Strong background in software development and/or QA within a SaaS environment.
  • Previous experience in mentoring, supervising, or managing technical staff.
  • Excellent knowledge of Agile and SDLC methodologies.
  • Familiarity with ITSM, HR Case Management, or related enterprise software.
  • Proficiency in relevant tools and languages: Java, Spring, React, SQL, Selenium, JMeter, Cypress, Git, Jenkins.
  • Strong problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to balance hands-on technical involvement with leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong focus on outcomes, deadlines, and quality standards.
Experience
  • Proven experience in a software development, QA, or product delivery environment.
  • Track record of managing competing priorities and delivering to deadlines.
  • Experience of leading or supervising a multi-discipline technical team.
