The Role: Broad, Client-Facing & Rewarding

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on wills, trusts, probate, estate administration, and inheritance tax
  • Draft and review legal documents (wills, lasting powers of attorney, Court of Protection applications)
  • Manage a diverse caseload of probate and intestacy matters independently
  • Liaise with third parties (financial institutions, tax authorities, other solicitors)
  • Guide clients on tax implications and estate planning strategies
  • Maintain excellent client care with sensitivity, discretion, and professionalism
  • Stay abreast of legislative changes and implement best practice
What We’re Looking For

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with a current practising certificate
  • Minimum 5 years’ PQE in UK private client law
  • Proven technical skills in:
    • Estate administration (probate & intestacy)
    • Inheritance tax returns
    • Will drafting
    • Lasting Powers of Attorney (finance/property, health/welfare)
    • Court of Protection deputyship cases
  • Confident communicator with excellent client-facing skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Empathy and discretion in all client dealings
