Are you an inspiring educator with a passion for Computing Science and a drive to lead learning in a dynamic secondary school environment?

If so, we are seeking a committed and forward-thinking Principal Teacher of Computing to lead our Computing department and contribute to the wider life of the school.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Computing Science across the BGE and Senior Phase, including National, Higher and Advanced Higher levels.
• Lead the strategic development of the Computing department, ensuring a progressive and inclusive curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
• Support and mentor colleagues within the department, promoting professional learning and collaborative practice.
• Monitor and evaluate pupil progress and attainment, using data to inform planning and improvement.
• Contribute to whole-school initiatives, improvement planning, and the development of digital learning across the curriculum.
• Manage departmental resources effectively and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Play a key role in promoting STEM engagement and digital literacy across the school community.

Qualifications

• A GTCS-registered teacher with a qualification in Computing or a related discipline.
