Practice Nurse – Truro, Cornwall
Minimum 28 hours per week (with option to increase)

A well-regarded GP surgery in Truro is currently looking for a Practice Nurse to join its supportive clinical team. This is a salaried role, with a minimum of 28 hours per week on offer. The practice is open to discussing how those hours are spread across the week and can offer some flexibility for the right candidate.

About the Practice
This is a stable and friendly GP practice with a good mix of patients and a well-organised team. The clinical staff are approachable, experienced, and supportive — including GPs, nurses, HCAs, and a helpful admin team. It’s a training practice with a strong emphasis on teamwork and maintaining a positive, manageable working environment.

The practice is based in Truro, within easy reach of public transport and with on-site parking available. It uses EMIS Web and has a good set-up in terms of space, equipment, and support for nursing staff.

About the Role
The nurse will be involved in a range of general practice nursing duties. Ideally, the practice is looking for someone with experience in:

  • Long-term condition reviews (e.g. diabetes, asthma, COPD)

  • Cervical screening

  • Childhood immunisations

  • Wound care and dressings

  • Travel vaccinations (if trained)

  • Health promotion and general treatment room duties

Training and support will be available for any areas where experience is still developing.
