A leading healthcare organization in Greater London is seeking a Footcare Assistant Apprentice to join its Community Podiatry Team. This role involves providing foot care and administrative duties, with thorough training in orthotic manufacture. The ideal candidate will complete a Level 5 Support Worker Apprenticeship. This is a Band 3 fixed-term position, with the possibility of progressing to a Band 4 role upon successful apprenticeship completion. The position also includes home visits and ensuring compliance with health standards.
This Footcare Assistant Apprenticeship involves part of a highly motivated Community Podiatry Team, providing foot-care, orthotic manufacture and administrative duties. As part of the position you will need to complete Support Worker (Foot care Assistant) Podiatry Apprenticeship level 5. In house training will be given on orthotic manufacture. While completing the apprenticeship you will be working as a foot care assistant undertaking basic nail care and orthotics/insole manufacture.
This is a development post Band 3 Fixed Term with potential offer of a band 4 Footcare/Support worker post on successful completion of the apprenticeship.
The service provides foot care to patients with a number of Podiatric and medical conditions such as diabetes, neuropathy, chronic diseases, wound management, musculoskeletal conditions and terminally ill patients.
Completion of the Support Worker (Foot care Assistant) Podiatry Apprenticeship Level 5 and in-house orthotic/insole manufacture and care certificate (if not already held).
Band 3 Fixed Term development post with potential offer of a Band 4 Footcare/Support worker post upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.
