Job opportunity - pet department cleaner - family run farm

About the role

As a pet department cleaner, you\'ll play a vital role in helping us maintain the high standards of hygiene and animal welfare required by our pet shop license. Your responsibilities will include

  • Thorough daily cleaning of animal enclosures, housing, and equipment
  • Disinfecting and sanitising pens, feed bowls, and water containers to prevent illness and cross contamination
  • Regular removal and replacement of bedding, ensuring animals always have clean, dry and comfortable housing
  • Monitoring cleanliness across the department and reporting any issues promptly
  • Assisting with waste disposal in line with farm procedures and licensing requirements
  • Helping to keep surrounding areaa tidy and presentable for visitors and inspections
What we\'re looking for
  • Someone reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented - with a pride in keeping areas spotless
  • Comfortable working around a variety of animals (small pets, poultry, and farm animals)
  • Willing to follow strict cleaning routines and licensing guidelines
  • Happy to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Previous experience with animals or cleaning in a professional setting is helpful but not essential- training will be provided
Hours & pay
  • Part/full time hours, including some weekends (flexible schedule available)
  • Competitive hourly rate (to be discussed at interview)
