Are you an experienced tax professional looking to take the next step in your career? We're looking for a Personal Tax Senior to join our dynamic and supportive team in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a varied and interesting client portfolio where your expertise will make a real impact.
As a Personal Tax Senior you'll play a key role within our Tax Department supporting the delivery of high-quality compliance and advisory services to our clients. You'll manage your own portfolio of personal tax clients, build strong relationships and help ensure all tax obligations are met efficiently and accurately.
Prepare and review personal tax returns for individuals, partnerships and trusts.
Manage a diverse client portfolio acting as the main point of contact for day-to-day tax matters.
Ensure compliance deadlines are met and maintain excellent client service standards.
Handle HMRC correspondence and deal with enquiries promptly and professionally.
Prepare Capital Gains Tax (CGT) returns and support on ad-hoc advisory work.
Assist with developing and mentoring junior team members.
Report directly to the Senior Manager and/or Director ensuring work aligns with internal procedures and external compliance standards.
At least 2 years experience in personal tax within a practice environment.
ACA / ACCA qualified part‑qualified or qualified by experience.
Strong understanding of personal tax compliance processes.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in your work.
Confident communicator both written and verbal.
Able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
Experience with R&D groups overseas or CIS clients.
Experience using tax software and CRM systems.
Previous experience mentoring or supporting junior staff.
