As a Peripatetic Registered Nurse, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality care to our residents, prioritising their well‑being and addressing their medical needs. Your nursing expertise and commitment will enhance the overall health and happiness of those in our care. This peripatetic role, will involve providing coverage across our six care homes, ensuring seamless continuity of care. Adaptability and the capacity to thrive in diverse settings across our care home network, which includes Glasgow, South Lanarkshire, and East Kilbride, are crucial for this role.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for residents.
  • Administer medications and treatments, adhering to medical prescriptions and care plans.
  • Complete physical/ psychological assessments of new residents on admission.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, health status, and changes in resident’s conditions.
  • Collaborate with the care team to develop and update individual care plans.
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to residents and families.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for residents.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and reports.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with nursing standards and regulations.
  • Stay updated on current medical practices.
