A leading healthcare provider in England is seeking a Peripatetic Deputy General Manager (Clinical) to manage teams across various care homes. The ideal candidate will be a registered nurse with experience in a nursing home setting, responsible for clinical oversight and team development. This role offers a £2000 Golden Hello and a comprehensive rewards package, including career development and discounts.
ABOUT THE ROLE – A £2000 Golden Hello is one of the rewards when you join Barchester in this role. As a Peripatetic Deputy General Manager (Clinical) at Barchester, you’ll travel across your region to manage and develop the teams in various care homes to help us deliver the high quality care and service we’re known for. Working closely with the General Manager or hiring manager, you’ll help implement action plans to ensure residents’ needs are met.
As a Peripatetic Deputy Manager you will be expected to work between five homes within the region as required. You will be expected to have flexibility and cover day or night shifts when required. The locations are: 1 home in Wimbledon, 2 homes in Oxted, 1 home in Sevenoaks and 1 home in Sydenham.
Taking on leadership duties in the absence of the General Manager, you’ll help with everything from care standards to motivating your team. You’ll inspire a multidisciplinary team to ensure each resident enjoys the best possible quality of life. This includes leading by example, monitoring standards through regular audits, supervised clinical practice and checking regulatory compliance. You’ll set high standards and draw on your skills to develop and deliver strategies to achieve your goals.
To join us as a Peripatetic Deputy General Manager (Clinical), you’ll need to be a Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with current NMC registration and a teaching, mentoring or supervision qualification. Previous experience in a nursing home setting is essential and evidence of continual professional development is required. Experience in helping residents with different health needs is important, as is a successful track record of managing safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments. We’ll also look for some HR experience, a strong knowledge of sales and marketing, an understanding of budget management, and a track record of supporting newly qualified nurses through preceptorship. You’ll be compassionate, resilient and determined to deliver quality care in our engaging and energetic environment. Finally, due to the nature of this role, you must be flexible and willing to travel.
If you’d like to use your clinical and people skills in an organisation that provides the quality care you’d expect for your loved ones, this is a rewarding and empowering place to be.
