You will manage an outsourced provider, ensure accurate and timely payroll delivery, and build strong relationships with stakeholders. Payroll Manager
Location: London (Hybrid – 3 days per week in the office)
Are you a payroll professional with a proven track record of turning around underperforming outsourced services? We’re looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to take ownership of a busy UK payroll function and lead the effective management of a fully outsourced provider.
This is a critical role for the business, requiring someone who is not only technically strong but also skilled at diagnosing issues, solving problems, and building strong relationships to drive performance improvements.
Take full accountability for the UK payroll function, delivered through a fully managed outsourced provider.
Diagnose service issues, identify process improvements, and work closely with the provider to ensure payroll is delivered accurately and on time.
Build strong relationships with the provider, internal stakeholders, and employees to restore confidence in payroll delivery.
Oversee and manage annual pay reviews and employee benefits through the payroll system.
Ensure compliance with all relevant UK payroll legislation and HMRC requirements.
Provide expert payroll advice to the business, acting as the go-to point for escalations.
Proven experience managing a busy UK payroll function, including working with and improving outsourced providers.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly and implement practical solutions.
Excellent relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience managing pay reviews and employee benefits via payroll systems.
Up-to-date knowledge of UK payroll legislation and best practice.
A resilient, proactive, and solutions-focused mindset.
Hybrid working model: 3 days per week in the London office.
