The Role

As a Payments Relationship Manager, you will be a pivotal role in managing the company’s portfolio of payment suppliers. You will act as the first point of contact for payment service providers, banks and payment vendors. You’ll liaise between internal and external stakeholders to define and manage payment strategy and workflows, monitor Merchant Approval Rates across the business and lead commercial negotiations with PSPs to improve fees, settlement times, and payment terms.

You’ll manage and maintain provider accounts on a day-to-day basis, provide regular reports and insights to internal stakeholders to drive decisions, and assist in developing proposals for introducing new payment providers.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Serve as a point of contact for PSPs, banks and payment vendors
  • Work with integrated vendors to define and manage risk strategy with regards to transaction flow
  • Develop relationships with PSPs to define and build on existing processes and integrations
  • Responsible for ongoing monitoring Merchant Approval Rates across the business including PSP performance (approval rates, errors, latency) and escalate issues as needed
  • Participate in commercial negotiations with PSPs to improve fees, settlement times, and payment terms
  • Review contracts, SLAs, and pricing agreements in collaboration with legal
  • Own the payments stream in new market launches, ensuring local licensing payment requirements are met before go-live
  • Ensure KYC/CDD documentation for all payment partners is up to date
  • Developing proposals for introducing new payment providers
  • Work closely with internal Compliance, Legal and AML teams
  • Track changes in regulatory environments and adapt payment partner configurations accordingly
