Alder Close Supported Living & Respite is based in the town of March and supports adults with a learning disability to live within supported living accommodation.

The role of Support Worker is to enable adults with a disability to live as independently as possible and to enjoy lifestyles they choose to. We support and empower individuals to enhance the quality of their life, maximise potential and continue to promote and develop independence skills within their home or whilst staying at Respite.

The role requires working on a 4-week rota with possible shifts during the week, weekends, and bank holidays (8am‑10pm). Two weekend shifts per month and sleep‑in duties are required. Additional enhancements are paid for weekends and bank holidays.

Start pay is £13.26 per hour (£19.89 Saturday hours, £23.60 Sunday hours). You will receive comprehensive training and excellent career development opportunities.

Main Duties
  • Provide practical support to individuals, respecting their individual needs and choices
  • Assist with personal care, cleaning, shopping, and accessing community activities
  • Administer medication and use IT to update support plans, risk assessments, and other documentation
  • Maintain knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act, capacity assessments, safety and confidentiality procedures
  • Work collaboratively within a small team and report to the Senior Support Worker
About You
  • Proficient written and spoken English
  • Good IT skills for case recording and documentation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Awareness and understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion, Mental Capacity Act and safety/confidentiality requirements
  • Previous training in supporting people with a disability is not required; training will be provided for the right candidate

Interviews will be held week commencing 12th January 2026.
