You'll be delivering personalised sessions in both English and Maths to pupils from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 4, many of whom are not currently in mainstream education.

The learners you'll be supporting often have Special Educational Needs (SEN) or Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, and require patient, engaging, and flexible tutors who can rebuild their confidence and help them progress.

Key Information
  • Areas Covered: Liverpool and surrounding Cheshire areas (tuition typically takes place in pupil homes or community venues, with safeguarding in place)
  • Working Hours: 10 - 20 hours per week (flexible schedule within school hours, term-time only)
  • Hourly Rate: 27-30 per hour, dependent on experience
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Contract Type: Ongoing, part-time, flexible
  • Subjects Required: Confident delivery of both English and Maths up to GCSE level
What We're Looking For
  • At least 2 years experience supporting young people with SEN or SEMH needs
  • Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum across both Maths and English
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred, but not essential for experienced tutors
  • Valid Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Ability to travel across Liverpool and Cheshire for in-person tuition
  • Calm, compassionate, and creative teaching approach
Why This Role?

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to young people who've fallen behind or become disengaged from education. You'll have the freedom to adapt lessons to suit individual needs, while working in a flexible role that fits around your schedule.

If you're passionate about helping young people thrive, and you're confident in delivering both English and Maths, we want to hear from you!
