Overview

Design and Technology Technician — Grade 6 – £9,252 increasing to £9,862 with service. 14.5 per week, term time plus two weeks.

We are seeking to appoint someone to join our team as a Design and Technology Technician. This is a part-time position, working 14.5 hours per week during term time, plus two weeks. The hours will need to be worked over two days, ideally Thursday and Friday, but this can be discussed. You will need to work effectively as part of a team and also be comfortable working under your own initiative. You will support the faculty by ensuring all necessary resources are prepared and available for lessons. You will support students in lessons as needed.

About the School

King James’s School is a high-attaining 11-16 comprehensive school in Kirklees. The school became an Academy in September 2012 and was judged ‘Good’ by Ofsted in November 2019. The most recent inspection in February 2025 noted that the school has taken effective action to maintain standards identified previously. The school emphasises an inclusive approach and first class pastoral care.
