Overview

Job title: Paint Technician

Location: Cowes, Isle of Wight - Onsite only

Salary: £40,974 depending on skills and experience

What you'll be doing
  • Selecting, mixing and applying paint and surface finishing to defined standards
  • Be capable of reading and understanding technical drawings and documents such as paint mixing procedures, equipment and product processing instructions
  • Maintaining the paint facility, Spray and Paint equipment adhering to lean principles and be able to support continuous improvement opportunities
  • Understanding and complying with all relevant Business Management System (BMS) procedures and SHE policies
  • Providing assistance to Manufacturing Technicians
  • Maintaining Respirator Care and use equipment inline with company and legislative requirements
  • Working at heights and on complex high value structures
Your skills and experiences
  • Have a good understanding of a paint finishing discipline
  • Able to perform painting on subassemblies and systems - encompassing new build, and repairs products
  • Understand and comply with business SHE policies
  • Be formally qualified, Time Served Paint Apprentice standard or similar. HNC/HND would be advantageous

As Paint Technician, you will be part of ever-expanding team, working alongside experienced and highly skilled wiring technicians as well as more recent additions to the team and Apprentices.
