Overview

Role: Paint Technician (Night Shift) – Location: South Birmingham – Hours: 10pm - 6am – Pay: £28,000

Responsibilities

• Painting & Quality Standards - Carry out painting processes (primers, basecoats, clearcoats) to IATF 16949 standards, ensuring correct adhesion, finish, and curing.
• Equipment & System Maintenance - Operate, clean, and maintain paint robots, application equipment, mixing systems, filters, and plant controls to ensure consistent performance.
• Fault-Finding & Process Optimisation - Identify and correct robotic application faults, adjust settings, conduct tests (dyne, particulate counts), and optimise programs to maintain quality and minimise downtime.
• Safety, Teamwork & Continuous Improvement - Adhere to H&S and 5S practices, support colleagues, cover absences, and contribute to ongoing process improvements and cost reduction.

Experience & Skills

• Experience - Minimum 3-5 years\' robotic painting experience, ideally within the paint manufacturing industry.
• Core Skills - Good basic numeracy and literacy skills.
• Development - Willingness to undertake further training to expand skills.
• Requirements - Valid UK driving licence.
