Job description

Position: Paint Sprayer

Type: Temporary

Experience: 60:10 Trained (Essential)

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply intumescent coatings to WIN posts and structural steel components to project specifications.
  • Prepare steelwork, substrates, and work areas for coating application.
  • Operate airless spray equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Mix, measure, and apply intumescent products to exact manufacturer guidelines.
  • Carry out wet film thickness and dry film thickness (DFT) checks.
  • Record application data and complete compliance documentation.
  • Work alongside site supervisors, inspectors, and fire-protection teams.
  • Follow all relevant health & safety practices, including PPE and safe spraying protocols.
  • Maintain spray equipment and ensure clean, tidy working conditions.
Requirements
  • 60:10 training/certification - essential.
  • Proven experience as an intumescent sprayer.
  • Strong understanding of fire-protection coating systems.
  • Ability to read and follow technical specifications.
  • CSCS card
  • Reliable, safety-minded, and able to work to deadlines.
  • Full driving licence advantageous.
