We have an exciting opportunity to join our Paediatric Clinical Health Psychology team as a Band 7 Clinical/Counselling Psychologist / Psychological Therapist for five days a week. We are looking to recruit someone with an interest in working with children, young people and families and experience ideally in health settings, but we would welcome newly qualified Psychologists / Psychological Therapists keen to develop in this specialism. There is access to supervision and peer support as well as CPD and development opportunities.
The post involves supporting children, young people and their families through specialist psychological assessment, formulation and intervention, indirect work including providing consultation, supervision and training to multi‑disciplinary staff, and utilising research skills for audit, policy and service development.

You will work within the Paediatric Clinical Health Psychology team as part of the wider Clinical Health Psychology (CHP) service. As a Trust we have introduced agile working and, as a Directorate we are committed to supporting our teams and colleagues in adopting this approach. The team has been trained in ACT and EMDR and there is a strong commitment to both evidence and practice‑based short‑term interventions.
