Sealing and Packing Supervisor
Location: Portadown Area
Hourly Rate: £14.35 per hour
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, rotating shifts
- 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
- 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Sealing and Packing Supervisor to oversee operations at a well‑established Food Manufacturing company in the Portadown area. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled leader to manage a busy production line, ensuring the smooth operation of sealing and packing processes and delivering high‑quality products on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead the sealing and packing teams, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and productivity are maintained.
- Oversee daily operations of sealing and packing lines, ensuring efficient packing processes and achievement of production targets.
- Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Train and support team members in proper packing procedures, machinery operation, and health and safety practices.
- Perform regular quality checks to ensure packed goods meet company specifications and standards.
- Organize and manage shift schedules to ensure adequate staffing during both morning and afternoon shifts.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as production, quality control, and logistics, to address and resolve any operational issues.
- Monitor production performance and report on any deviations from targets or quality issues.
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in the packing process.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations regarding packaging and sealing.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment, particularly in sealing and packing.
- Strong leadership abilities with a track record of motivating and managing teams to meet production goals.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other teams.
- Solid understanding of health, safety, and quality standards within a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑demand environment.
Additional Information:
- Full‑time, permanent position with rotating shifts (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM / 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM) from Monday to Friday.
