Location & Compensation
  • Location: Glasgow
  • Contract: Part‑time (3 days per week), 1‑year fixed‑term (3‑month probationary period)
  • Salary: £35,000 pro rata

The Role

We are seeking an organised and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day‑to‑day running of the organisation. Working closely with the Creative Directors and Board of Trustees, the role is central to ensuring Soundplay Projects operates smoothly, sustainably and in line with statutory and funding requirements.

The Operations Manager will lead on financial management, governance, HR and administration, and will contribute to fundraising and organisational development. This role suits someone who enjoys working in a small organisation and supporting creative work through strong systems and processes.

The role is 3 days per week (Wed‑Fri) at our Glasgow office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Day‑to‑day operations, administration and organisational systems
  • Governance and compliance, including policies, board reporting and statutory returns
  • Financial management, including budgets, bookkeeping and reporting
  • HR administration, including contracts and PVG record keeping
  • Evaluation, monitoring and end‑of‑project reporting
  • Supporting fundraising, income generation and strategic development
Person Specification
  • Strong financial and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Desirable
  • Experience working in the arts, cultural or third sector
  • Experience working with disabled artists or participants
