A healthcare provider in the UK is seeking an Occupational Therapy Technician for its Luton Community Mental Health Team. The role involves supporting Occupational Therapists with assessments and delivering interventions for adults with mental health difficulties. Candidates should have a good understanding of Occupational Therapy and be able to work independently across community settings. This position supports professional development and training opportunities, contributing to improving the quality of life for service users.
Would you like the opportunity to join an innovative Occupational Therapy Service? We are looking to recruit an Occupational Therapy Technician to join the Luton Community Mental Health Team.
In this role, you will support the Occupational Therapists by assisting with assessments and delivering interventions for adults experiencing mental health difficulties. You will be responsible for providing specialist Occupational Therapy interventions under the guidance and supervision of the OT team, while also working independently on a day-to-day basis across a variety of community settings.
The post holder will join a well-established, supportive multi-disciplinary team. Interventions will involve working collaboratively with service users and their carers to achieve agreed goals aimed at improving functional abilities across a range of daily activities, including self-care, work-related tasks, domestic activities, and leisure. The post holder must be able to travel independently across the county. A good understanding of the role of Occupational Therapy is preferred but not essential.

Regular managerial and professional supervision will be provided and you will have monthly opportunities to participate in the service’s OT CPD events and shape service development through quality improvement. Professionaldevelopment and training are actively encouraged through the appraisal process.
